  • driver shaft for lower ball flight

I currently play an Adams GT 363 driver at 8 degs loft. It has the standard Adams ProLite Grafalloy - STIFF Flex shaft.

I love the club and hit it a long way. Trouble is it goes very high, higher than my playing partners' 10 deg drivers. Can anyone suggest a new shaft for me that will allow a lower ball flight?

I play to a seven handicap.

Hello, the ProLite Grafalloy is a lighter shaft. To lower your ball flight by changing shaft you would need to go to a heavier shaft. tour players play driver shafts over 100 grams to keep thier balls from balloning. Your ProLite Grafalloy is close to half that

You need a shaft with a high kick point to produce a lower ball flight. The ProLaunch Lite series has a low kick point/high trajectory. But, if you move to the 65g instead of the 45g, the kickpoint is moved up plus the added weight will lower your trajectory. That way you are using the same shaft brand, just a different weight.

Have you had any other drivers that you hit with a high ball flight? If so maybe it is not your shaft so much... maybe you are staying on your backside a little long.
