I missed breaking 90 by a stroke this weekend. That beats my best score by 2 strokes.
I also missed about 5 birdie putts. I must have had 40 putts in the round. I know where I need to practice!
Anyway, I attribute my recent success to Greg's online lessons. The lesson he gives about the right hand is invaluable to getting your shots to be more consistent with less work. Using the large muscles is much easier when your grip and hands are in the correct position. I was really hitting the ball well. I even got close to getting on a couple of par 5's in 2.
I have also been working (not really that hard) on my fitness. I have been doing some ab work as well as some work in getting my flexibility and range of motion in better shape. The work is definately paying off. It does not take much when you really target specific muscles to see drastic improvement.
I will break 90 this year. I have no doubt about it.
