    Four birdies on the trot on the same hole !

    I know I have never done this before in the 27 years I have been playing the game.

    The last four times I have played, I have birdied the par 3 9th.

    It's not an easy hole either: 175 yards, with a small green.

    Totally different but about birdies so I'll squeeze it into the thread

    18 holes on my local is twice round the same 9; a couple of weeks ago I birdied the Par 5 3rd each time round. Not that special I know but the neat thing was that neither time did I have to record a putt.

    1st time an 30 yard pitch over a mound, bounce, bounce and roll the 2nd putting from off the green an absurd distance just watched it roll, curl and drop.

    Sure puts a spring in your step when the short game saves you.

            Congrat's on the string of Birdies...

            My best string of birdies was 3 in 4 holes...

            A month or so back I birdied holes 6, 7 & 9 and my birdie putt on 8 hung in the jaws...

              My record for birdies in one round is 7.

              Birdies on the trot is 4. (usually in a practise round when I'm not playing all 18 !)

                The run is over !

                I played today and the hole was into the wind and they had the pin on the right, near a bunker. Before I hit my shot I told my Dad the run was over. But I hit a great 5 iron to 20 feet. I left the putt short though !
