I'm playing in an am/am open next weekend and have no idea what the format is as I have never taken part in one before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think i have found out. it seems its when two amateurs are paired off bit like a pro AM but with no pros.
think its two pair of amateurs against another two amateurs hence the AM/AM. so it means your signed up to play on a two amateur team against two other amateurs.

In my experience you need to be quick marking your ball and what ever you do, don't suggest you are looking forward to a large portion in the clubhouse afterwards
