I happened to come upon the telecast (I don't know when it was played) and without planning to watch it, I got hooked.
It was considered by most of the participants as the best amateur championship event they ever took part in. I gathered this was the 4th year for the event. This year, it was in China. The 2 men teams were from courses, such as Sunningdale, Royal Melbourne, Pine Valley (U.S.), St George's (Canada), and other countries all over the world.
The calibre of the play was a very high level, and there was obviously a lot of pressure. I enjoyed it more than many tour events. The team from Pine Valley won over Royal Melbourne, after 5 playoff holes in the final match. There was a 20 year old student playing for Royal Melbourne, who had a fantastic all around game.
