  • Balance.....

Well fella's I am reading Darrin GEE's 7 Principles of Golf. I am a very slow reader and just got past the first chapter.

Quite interesting - talked about balance throughout the swing. This being the most important fundamental and most social golfers neglect it.

I have applied his thoughts on balance to my last round.

The key is to focus on your feet and balance through out the swing. I found it quite good. He used a visual key of the golf spriggs being roots of a plant growing into the soil and being well set.

It actually stopped my sway and shortened my back swing.

Next chapter from memory is feel.

I try to maintain balance through good posture, keeping my head steady and maintaining my spine angle

Give it a try next time your practicing or playing Brian. Purely focus on your feet. For mine it was a different feel and actually kept my mind quiet.

Killer interesting quote. Just as GEE is saying to visualise your spriggs being roots firmly implanted into the ground.

A different feel/focus when paying attention to balance throughout the swing.

              GGuy,

I think Gee is not saying to plant the feet but more so being aware of the balance and where the weight is in the feet throughout the swing.

I have found that there is no restriction on the knees persee.
