On the subject of cleaning club heads. Almost everyone I play golf with during a round takes the time to clean their club heads after every shot. At least they wipe them down a little with their rag. A few more might even clean the grooves of the club they just used. But what I don't see is very many people cleaning their club faces/grooves while on the driving range, after every shot. They hit 5 or 10 balls before they "might" clean their club faces. I see a lot of people just put their club back in the bag. My guess is they will clean them later, or maybe not at all.
Since most lower handicap golfers practice more than they play, cleaning club faces between practice shots, not only will extend the life of a club face, but it also can act as part of your pre-shot routine between those practice shots while on the driving range.
