just read that research from the new thin faced drivers could damage your ears. it seemed that the top 6 drivers all give off a sonic boom of over 120 decibels and doctors suggest the use of ear plugs. the driver with the loudest sonic boom was the Ping G10 and was recorded at 130 decibels and was louder than a shotgun. the cobra was the next loudest a few decibels less than the ping.
going to the range and hitting 50 to 100 ball with a new thin faced driver could leave you with hearing problems in later life.
