I once heard a person explain about thinking about your own golf swing. He said "when thinking about your swing it was ok to ask your self questions". He went on to say "it is ok to answer your own golf swing questions". The problem that developed after this self question, and answer session is when you. after the shot at hand, then asked yourself: "Huh?"

Aye you're right Brian; mind you, to prove your point regarding thinking about thinking, they've got another clip set in a philosophy school where the sceptics and the pragmatists discuss whether its is possible to put spin on a chip, and if it is possible, whether you even should.

Now that is overdoing the thinking.
Yes, I get the same problem when I think about blinking, it makes me blink but the interesting point (and not a lot of people know this) is when I blink I dont think I think

My best putts have consistently been stand behind my ball and see the ball and the hole, give a quick look, then step up, quick look at the hole and stroke it. No practice strokes, no nothing. I've made more putts from 60+ feet this way that it's ridiculous. You let go because there's no point in thinking or analyzing, you just 'hope to be close' and give it a rap.

Merely an innocent observation. Hope all well with the offspring and grand-offspring.
Mine doing fine, t'lad has now played RL for the uni as well as RU for the college so (as he says) he can always claim he's played Blue's Sport.

Real and funny rugby eh! Nice to hear he is doing well at Oxford, what a great place to be playing the game.
Our US division are over the end of the month for two weeks, we are all taking a short holiday in Pembrokeshire and my Daughter in Law wants to visit Oxford. She hopes the Grandson will go to Uni there one day.
