  • Trust your swing out on the course

    I will try to explain,

Consider a balancing beam 4 inches wide placed on the floor. you would walk along from one end to the other instinctivley, you would focus your vision at the far end and walk confidently along it's length.
Now mount the same beem forty feet in the air with no safety net (you see what I mean) you would think differently, how do I put one foot in front of the other, toes in or toes out, eyes at the end of the beam or at my feet, arms by my side or outstreched etc.

The moral of this tail is we get in our own way. So lets all go out this weekend and trust what we pratice on the range, consentrate on the landing area and weather conditions instead.

    Hope this helps

    Ian.

I don't think about my swing while playing, to me it serves no purpose. What I do think about it what type of shot I'm going to play and the consequences of what is likely to happen if I don't pull it off. Then I just go ahead and do, it anything I think about tempo rather than anything techical.
