Today in a stableford on the 16th par 4.
Both me and my Dad were going well. I had 32 points, My Dad ( 23 handicapper) had 31 points.
I tee off and do this massive block to the right that nobody saw. My dad drives down the middle.
I go to find my ball, no sign of it. After a few minutes I tell my Dad to do his shot while I continue looking for my ball. He does and comes back complaining he had a bad bounce. Carry on looking but after 5 minutes I declare it lost. We walk to the green. No sign of my Dad's ball. He looks behind the green but it's not there. He then takes a look in the hole (as you do !) and it's there !
His first ever eagle. And a net albertros as well, 5 points in a stableford. I couldn't believe it !
Shame I never saw the shot !
He finishes with 41 points while I score only 34.
