Just wanted to share my second hole-in-one which I shot last Thursday - July 16 at the Angel's Crossing golf course in Vicksburg, MI.
It was on the 6th hole - playing at 170 yards from the green tees - I hit my 6-iron pure and true! Here is the ironic thing about both of my aces - neither myself or my playing partners ever saw the ball go in based on where the pins were on the green.
When I got my first ace back in 1979 at the Milham Park golf course in Kalamazoo, MI - the pin was behind a grass mound so from the tee we could see the flag but not the hole. Hit a 9-iron on the 125 yard hole for my first ace! Then last Thursday - the pin was in a valley on an elevated green from the tee - so again, we could see the flag but not the hole. So in both cases - I was "robbed" of doing the "Dance of Joy" - whooping & hollering - High-5's all around reaction a golfer normally does when they see the ball go in the hole. Oh well....
I have 2 "Aces" in my bag 30 years apart - and you know what?...it was worth the wait!
Take care all, and play well.
