      Welcome to the site.

If you go to the 'Short Game Instruction' section you will find a number of threads relating to putting.

      Good reading.

And/or "Putting out of your Mind" by Bob Rotella. There's nothing complicated physically about putting. T'is all in the brainbox.

            Hi explore,

I find the key for putting for me is rhythm.

My poor putts are when I am quick back and decelerate through. I'm also trying to get away from popping the hit. It's too inconsistent. I want to stroke through the ball, such as Loren Roberts does.

Here's a good video for rhythm.

              Re: putting

Hi, I agree with rotator, some things don't change with golf strokes. It should be a stroke. Not a hit. Most would say you caress the ball with a short take away in order to restrict the chances of wobble as you stroke or caress the ball. Accelerate through the stroke and your follow through should be about twice the length of the take away. It doesn't matter if your feet are together or apart, what ever you are comfortable with is fine.I follow this recipe and have become quite a good putter. One more thing, stroke should be a swing from the shoulders keeping the elbows and wrists quiet, I have shortened my putter to about the length of a junior one in order to swing like a pendulum, I have been told it is only 1 inch longer than Tigers so I must be onto
              something. Hope this helps,
              Regards, Peter.

                Re: putting

for me, putting has 2 important factors.. 1. The Ball. 2. The backswing

Use the same ball game after game. that ball won't change characteristics. But find a ball that you feel comfortable using. An eg. i use Taylormade TP Red because they seam to spring off the putters face. If i use a Callaway Tour i i feel i have to hit the ball.

Secondly, use the backswing to control distance, just like a chip. if you have a big backswing and slow down through the ball you'll never be able to repeat teh same swing. If you take a short backswing you can only force the club through teh ball so fast on that length backswing so your shots will be more consistant.

                  Re: putting

To putt well you must do three things:

                  1) Find the right line and commit to it.

                  2) Use the correct weight for the shot.

                  3) Have a reliable tempo and action.

Just like all other golf shots
