    no idea where its off to!!

    just got back playing from a few years lay off.have played a few rounds and the tee shot is biggest problem. basically is sometimes a slice sometimes a hook sometimes a duff and sometimes a fantastic effort. i use a 5 wood on the tighter holes and a 3 wood on the wider fairways. my iron shots are okayish and short game will improve as my touch returns.

    anyone else have this problem of not knowing what the hell coming?
    most of the time my playing partners say my grip looks fine and i swing ok .

    Sounds like the typical problems of a golfer that flips their wrists at impact. You need to understand how to stop your left wrist from collapsing so that you can create club lag.

      thanks for the reply brian, had a look at the link but found it difficult to grasp all the technical phrases and supposed positions, have played a few more rounds since last time and have come off the tee much more solid happily.

      Just gripped and squared myself up better. I always try to keep it all as simple as possible.
