    Re: grip

This could have a lot to do with your grips on your clubs. If they are hard and shiny, it's time to replace them. Also, do your hands perspire quite a bit when you golf? If your hands are moist, you ill have more difficulty keeping the club in your hands. Do you wear a glove? If you do not wear a glove, try wearing a glove to help prevent slippage.

What about when you can feel the club turning in your hands at impact - what's that all about?

            Re: grip

I find it's almost like there's more friction & resistance between the clubface and the ball (due to too light a grip), so the club spins in your hands until you 'grab' the club again...

              Re: grip

Usually if you feel the club turn in your hands at impact it's because you are hitting the ball off the toe of the club. Try moving about 1/2 inch closer to your ball.

                Re: grip

Sounds to me like you grip the club to tight, then when you have hit a lot of ball your grip starts giving up on you due to excess strain!!!!

                    Re: grip

How old are your clubs and how old are your grips? Are you gripping the club primarily in the palms or the fingers? Should be the fingers. Good article on how to grip the club here:

                      Re: grip

It is a no no to have blisters. You are definitely gripping too tight. You are probably not even aware of this. Think of holding an egg in your hand without breaking it. This is the grip pressure to achieve. It is a common error for people to apply too much pressure with the hands, thinking that the more they grip it, the further the ball will go.
