Tread the fairways of St Andrews

Hi Guys,
How does an average guy get to play a round at the sacred site of St Andrews Old Course, (Can he??). Probably like the majority of amateur hacks around the world I would love to walk down the same fairways as the legends of golf. I would be thankful if you guys have any tips or contacts that I could use to fulfill this dream. Thanks Wayne

you apply for a round and the club make a draw with all the people that have applyed to play on that day and the people that are pulled out a hat get to play.
been like that for as long as i can remember.
if you look at there web site it should tell you more.
it not to hard to get a round in at St Andrews.
