THE FAMOUS FIVE RETURN...

A great day was had, thanks to all those who came... only five in the end but what great fun!

The weather turned out amazing, bright blue sky with a brisk chill and stiff wind on the back nine to toughen things up a little.

The scoring was tightly packed with a worthy winner found on countback in the mighty IAN HANCOCK with 30 points edging out Mohammed (Defending Champ) into runners up spot.

I think all will agree that The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club was a great venue and we will likely return their for the next GTO event in March 2010. It will be the Kings Course next time!

Of course the obligatory GTO run in with starters was only a matter of time... the famous five caused controversy with no less than a dozen phone calls to the clubhouse don't ask...

Even with England batsman Ian Bell in the group behind us the pace didn't change, but the friendly banter made the day great fun.

Looking forward to the next GTO event already guys and hopefully see some new faces as well at the next one.

Congratulations to Ian a good performance - a well deserved victory. I'll be looking to get my title back at the next one !

A truly great day again, the venue was first class.

Liam and I are already looking forward to March, come on lads join us next time we will have a ball.
