I was waiting in the barber shop the other day, reading an older golf magazine. The short article, with 3 pictures, says a few years back Adam Scott simplified his swing to:
1. He swings the club up/back with his wrists only, parallel to the ground.
2. Then he simply turns his shoulders 90 deg.- club does not go all the way back to a parallel position, say maybe about an 85% swing.
3. He unwinds & whacks the ball.
No mention of swinging the arms back. Or forward, for that matter. C'mon-can it be that simple?
His instructor is supposed to be Butch Harmon and his swing is supposed to mimick Tiger Woods.
(my slow-speed dial-up won't let me watch videos so I need you guys to set me straight here!
)
Thanks....Wil
EDIT: and BTW, his average drive is 298 yards, maximum drive 358 yards. This dude knows how to hit!
