  • If you had to a pick 1 out of 2 shoes?

    Morning all,

Birthday tomorrow and the wife has very kindly offered to get me a new pair of golf shoes.

    I'm torn between the following:

    1. Ecco Casual Cool II GTX Golf Shoes
    2. Footjoy SYNR-G Golf Shoes

I know its down to personal preference and all that, but wondering peoples experience of the two. Comfort, feel, grip etc are all important... and durability!

Look forward to hear your feedback.

Two good brands there. I do like Ecco, they tend to use very good materials in their shoes.

Your feet will love the Eccos, especially if you walk the course instead of riding a cart.

I always walk the course. Well it looks like eccos are winning... anything to be said for the footjoys?

They are equally brilliant, just not quite as ergonomically good for your feet.

But no matter what pair you get, you won't likely be disappointed.

Do try them on before you decide though - both pairs!

            Here here...

If you can find somewhere that has both in your size, trying both on and comparing in the store will give you a much better idea. What one person finds comfortable etc... both make great shoes.

Not to steal the thread, but I have arthritis in both feet (should have had foot surgery at least 3 years ago). In order to just plain walk I need to wear prescription orthotics in my shoes and need extremely soft upper material in a wide width.

Any other suggestions for golf shoes would be appreciated.
