    Agreed

    I agree Slats.

We should be here to support and help each other with the game of golf. Arguing and insulting each other doesn't achieve anything. If you don't agree with a post, politely mention it without trying to put down the other person.

We are all here to help each other, remember that!

        Hi
as Ace says this site is about helping each other and has been great for many years now. we can disagree without trying to put the other person down. we need to hear other views if only to make us think!
        Cheers

i also agree, having only been a member for a few months I can see how much value there is on this forum - 99% of people are very supportive and i have learn alot, new members would be put off if they see all this sniping going on.

Agreed, I just got here and already saw some tear-downs. It's easy to get disparaging on a forum, but I wonder if those things would be said directly to someones face? Lets all be supportive. I'm excited to be here.

I have had an experience on this site that quickly made me leave.

I posted that I felt it was ignorant to accuse a reputable company of mostly selling clones, and received this response:

                http://www.awltovhc.com/image-3694645-10580494http://www.awltovhc.com/image-3694645-10580494http://www.awltovhc.com/image-3694645-10580494http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/sh...mp;postcount=5

He then suggested that we agree to dis-agree, which was convienent considering the pictures don't even begin to support the claim that the company sold mostly clones.

                http://www.awltovhc.com/image-3694645-10580494http://www.awltovhc.com/image-3694645-10580494http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/sh...mp;postcount=8

I took the high road and left, but really I wanted to post up pictures of every Anser clone sold by the majors for the last 20 years since they are obviously ALL CLONES too, and face it ALL golf clubs look very much alike and have for years and years.

It works both ways fellas. Regular members of this forum pile on with opinions stated as fact, pavlovian rhetoric based on what exactly? Outdated perceptions and blatant mis-information as far as I can tell.

This is my perception of how this tight little community operates, same as the big forums, a little more intimate yes, but with the S.S.D.D. attitude.

Its a shame that you took offence over the comments posted by someone who is generally considered on this site as a source of expert advice in the design and build of clubs, he also gives members unselfish and free help. I am sure many would verify this

In the case you have cited he disagreed with you, surely that's not rude or creating 'bad feeling'. I would suggest you have been a little over sensitive here and should not take offence where it was not intended.

You are also entitled to your opinion on this site and what you refer to as it's 'tight little community'. I would suggest that as a member you can either set your own style and opinions and be prepared to justify them in debate 'or ' you can use another forum where you feel your views are better accepted.

I expect you will consider this reply as another example of S.S.D.D. If that's the case then I am sorry this site was not for you, If not then I look forward to your own considered input and positive influence on the site.

                  Merry Christmas.

Re: bad feeling on the site

Brian, as one who can at times be abrupt, I have not seen anyone on this site who is abusive or rude, especially to newbies.
I find this site refreshing because it is a diverse community free from abusive attacks.
                    Keep up the good work.

Thanks Keiko. There is a difference between someone disagreeing with an opinion and someone being outright rude.
