Re: derek gaffney
As old as the War Bird is, it is still a GREAT head. You may benefit from getting it reshafted though. Talk to your local club maker to see what shaft suits you best. You'd be amazed in the difference a premium shaft can make!

Re: derek gaffney
Well Derek, a new technology driver wouldnt hurt. Some of the hot faced ones go a pretty long way. My suggestion would be a Taylor Made R510, 540 or 580, they are quite reasonably priced second hand these days and you will get one from www.golfbidder.co.uk for around 100 quid or whatever that is in euros.
Go to your local golf store and try a few of them out heres a list of the ones that should be reasonably priced now
Taylor Made R500 series
Cobra 400 Series
Titleist 975 J-VS or L-FE
Mizuno 300 SE
Callaway Hawkeye VFT
Callaway ERC II (truly great club)
Srixon 302
Most of these should be available for about £100 make sure you get the right shaft as well it can make all the difference
