  • Most wins on tour

    Hello all,

Just wanted to hear everyone's imput on who they think will win the most tournaments this year. And also who do you pull for Thur-Sun (favorite golfer).

I think Vijay is going to have the most wins. I predict seven including one major.

My favorite golfer is Jonathan Kaye. Just like his style and attitude.

    Who's yours?

    Travis

I agree with Vijay winning 7 and a major. I enjoy watching Sergio play because of his imagination and the amazing shots he pulls off. I am always cheering for Canada's best golfer, Mike Weir!! Now, if he could improve his Sunday play...

I'm still pulling for the Tiger. I hear he has tightened up his swing and is prepared to have a good year; I'd really like to see him shut Butch Harmon up.

Golf is so exciting with Tiger in the running, and if you've been to a PGA event where he was in the running then you know what I mean.

Im afraid the only way he is going to shut Butch up is to win the Grand Slam in a calander year. Its the only way to exceed the standard set when he was with Butch. This argument will run and run. I think Vijay will probably scoop it this year as well. Although I would have a side bet on Phil, he might well come hot out the traps this year and get the breaks this year that he didnt last year.

Finally I really hope we have a big name winner of the British Open in 2005. No disrespect to Messrs Hamilton and Curtis but you can almost hear the chuckling from the US governing bodies. Their two flagship events go to two of the best players of the last decade and ours goes to an unknown rookie who hasnt done anything else of note since and a journeyman US pro who only made the grade on the PGA Tour recently after years of playing abroad. I look forwards to a Goosen win at St Andrews (I hope).

I agree with Mizunoman. Everyone is "blaming" Tiger's poor performance on leaving Butch and I don't think that was the sole reason for his poor play. I'm a great Butch fan and have seen him at work but there is more to the story than we (the public know). The only way the story will end if Tiger and Hank Haney get their act together and stop Tiger from jumping left.

But ... more to the point ... I rekon Vijay will take everything again this year and might even beat his money mark. I just got the feeling the way he played in Hawaii that he's still got it in his bag. New driver I see too ... a Cleveland 460 Comp! No more Taylor R7! Yay ... (Sorry, but I'm a great Cleveland fan and used to play their irons on the mini-tours).

Ernie might do it if he stops playing in Europe and plays full time in America. Those 10-12 weeks he misses playing in Europe, South Africa and Asia costs him around $1.5 to $1.8 million.

Yeah, I'd like ot see a quality player win the British. Vijay is my man or failing him Monty. No disrepect to the previous winners of the British but really, I'd love to see Phil or Vijay win it in 2005.

Vijay does look like the one to watch, I myself would like to see tiger back in the number 1 postion. Being an Aussie I love to see one of the Aussies take out a major or two.
