    Re: Superstitions

If I tee off with anything but a driver - 3 wood, hybrid, iron - I have to use a tee I've picked up at that tee box. If I can't find any (almost never happens) and have to use one of my own, I feel as if I am going to miss the shot.

After the shot, I never take the tee with me unless I hit a driver and used my own tee.

    Silly, right?

Yeah, clubs in the same place, and if I don't lose a ball, then it gets teed up next round (i start this year with a three round Titleist PTS SoLo - and it still looks good). Oh yeah, I use white tees and on par threes just put the ball on a little tuft of grass, and I take two practice swings, nice and easy, and I like my nails cut comfortably short.

Clubs in the same place is vital - I can't stand it when a playing partner borrows a club from my bag and then just puts it back in any old place - don't they know how much bad karma that brings...

Also, I like to have two spare balls in my left pocket all the way around - just so I know that if I lose the one I'm hitting, I still have spares (Sigmund Freud would have a field day with that one!!!). The minute I lose a ball, I go and grab one from my bag and it replaces one from my pocket.

            Re: Superstitions

I think this happens because when you reach kind a momentum you're not consciously aware of how nice you're playing. So, when someone tells you "you're doing great", you become conscious about it, and that's when a feeling of insecurity can arrive. A possible way to overcome that could be to tell yourself how well you're playing, and most importantly, enjoy the moment!

              Re: Superstitions

seems a common thing but club has to go back in the right place every time and never use a no 3 ball my son benefits from that every time i buy a new box of 12!
