    Re: Ur best ever shot!!!

We have had many threads like this, so I'll post a reply I have never posted before.

579 yard par 5, I hit driver ~ 320 yrds and 18* hybrid ~ 250 yrds to the front of the green. The pin was tucked in the back corner and I sank the 35 foot eagle!!!

Dropping a double-breaking-down-hill-left-to-right 24' putt for the match win in a 2 man scramble.

            I'll do a recent one

Pulled a 6 iron out of bounds on a par 3 off one of those awful winter mats.

Plopped another ball out and stuck it to 2 inches, it was actually harder for the ball not to go in but it managed by spinning right of the hole, easy 4 tho.

            D.

I just missed a hole in one twice on the same shot! I was playing the wind (left to right) on a 156 yard par 3, so I can in from the left. The ball landed exactly pin high, 2 inches left of the cup. It bounced twice, spun back to pin high, 2 inches right.

                Re: Ur best ever shot!!!

My best ever shot was an 8 iron shot 160 yards from the pin, knowing the green sloped to the left I aimed to the right side of the green in an atempt to use the slope to get closer to the pin, the ball flew strait to the right side I saw it bounce left as I would expect, but didn't see it roll and when I got up there I found it in the cup, thankyou for the eagle.

Yesterday I was on the 12th hole 320 yard par 4, Hit a very long drive into the gulley where you can't see the landing area, found the ball left of centre and a full lob shot from the pin, Hit my lob shot landed next to the hole bounced up hit the pin then landed about 6 yards right of the hole, if it didn't hit the pin I would of have a shorter putt for birdie.

                  Re: Ur best ever shot!!!

My best shot ever was on a 550 yd Par 5. I had a pretty good drive that left me about 255 out. I never have went at this green in two because it has water gaurding the front and sand on both sides. I decided to play a little aggresive and go at it. Pulled a 3 wood and stuck it 3ft from the pin, putted in for eagle.

                    Re: Ur best ever shot!!!

Uuuh, it's really difficult to say what is my THE best shot ever...

                    Is it one of these?

                    - par3 175y last fall: hit the flag, birdied the hole
                    - par3 156y last week: hole high, 2" from the hole

                    - par4 last year: from the rough i6 second shot, straight in: eagle
                    - par4 my first year: i7 from the rough, 4" from the hole: first ever birdie

                    - par5, my favourite par5: 3 times 3w within 3feet from the hole: 3 eagles
                    - par5, 3rd shot, PW from 100 meters into the wind, straight in: eagle

                    - putt, 3 weeks ago, that 60 foot putt, uphill, straight in, birdie

                    - or then that "longest drive so far", 2 years ago, 317 meters

Naaah, cannot name it. They all are so special... and I hope that the best is yet to come, so stay tuned

                        Re: Ur best ever shot!!!

Mine was the second shot on a 460 yard Par 4. I had slightly pulled my drive left behind a tall Oak tree. I had about 190 yards to the pin (tucked back left of green). I was in first cut of rough with a very good lie. The ball was below my feet and another tall Oak tree short and right of the green with a brook running along the tree and in front of the green. Common sense tells a golfer that this is a lay up shot but I could not have any of that. My intented shot was a 25 yard draw from a hanging lie and light rough so that I hit right of the tall Oak in front of me and not hit into the greenside tall Oak. A straight shot would have hit the tall Oak right of the green and my ball would have been wet. With the shot in mind, I grabbed my 5 iron and attempted to hit a 25 yard draw around the trees.

I hit the shot and it came off perfectly. This was my Tiger Woods moment of my career. The ball landed on the green about 10 feet short of the hole with enough spin to come to rest about 3 feet from the cup. I holed the putt for the best Birdie of my career.

I have holed a couple of wedges from fairway, I have many eagles as well, but this was the most difficult shot that I have ever executed. I am not sure I would even attempt this shot again as I do not play enough today. However, this was one for the ages.

best drive ever was on the road hole of the old course st andrews-In a medal off the bck tee I hit a perfect draw which ended up 330 yards down the fairway perfectly cutting the corner and landing on the fairway which is 15 yards wide at that point- then put a nine iron to a foot with the pin tucked behind the bunker and holed the putt- all the more fun when you see the pro's finding it so difficult!
