Hey guys, just wondering how to get an official handicap. I have no idea what mine is and would like to get one. Any suggestions?

The easiest way in the UK is to join a club and then get 3 cards signed off by a member or members which already have official H'caps and then hand them to pro to calculate. He will then issue you with a cert' stating your H'cap. -

Thats what i had to do, once i joined my club i got my freinds as they were members and i played 3 rounds and did 3 cards, handed them in and then the local pro said what my handicap was etcComment

In Australia it's a similar deal. Three cards signed by members, but this only gets you a club handicap. It takes five signed cards to get an official nationally reconised handicap.
The pro can tell you what your handicap should be but here its worked out by

It is a machine name. A person throws your scores into 'The Handicapper', and it spits out a handicap.Comment
