    Re: quick question on driver

It could be a small stone, yes, but it's more than likely epoxy. It won't (shouldn't?) be a weight.

Your pro should be able to pull the shaft and dump the offending noisemaker.

You might as well pay him a few bucks to spine it before he puts it back in.

Are you sure it is the driver and not your bones rattling around when you get the Ignite beast i-g-n-i-t-e-d ??

I wouldn't worry about the rattle, Ricky.

The spine of the shaft is the stiffest part. Clubs that have been spine-aligned are usually more consistent from one club to the next when compared to a set of clubs that hasn't been.

Since the shaft will have been pulled, you might as well put the shaft back in the way that will most help your swing...

Sounds like typical Nike, Ricky, all style no substance.

Take it back to the store you bought it from and demand a repair or even better a replacement. Most clubs come with a two year warranty. Nike should take it back and replace it, if they don't (which they might not I have never dealt with Nike) I would get the Trading Standards on the case.

Moral of the story, dont buy Nike, I have heard a lot of similar stories.

Have you seen their Hybrid club? $30 more expensive in steel than the Callaway Heavenwood is in Graphite (and Callaway are usually the benchmark on price)!!!!!

                Re: quick question on driver

I agree ... Nike are great products and their design team are among the best in the business. They spent hundreds of millions of $'s setting themselves up.

Boys like Stuart Cink, Rory Sabbatini, Justin Leonard, K J Choi would never touch clubs they didn't like. They don't get made Tiger money either, they are on performance bonuses.

If your pro can't fix it, the Nike agent certainly will - you won't have any problems with that.

                    Re: quick question on driver

Well simply put, if you are not going to listen to anyone who is not 'qualified' Ricky why the **** do you post questions on here in general forums? Seems a waste of typing to me. Just send personal messages to the Pro's on here and stop bleating at us regular schmos. No wonder your own pro wants nowt to do with you. Did you tell him you werent listening to him because he hadnt won a major or something?

Whats qualified anyway? A lot of the guys here play to a good handicap and have been swinging clubs since before you were ****ping in your hands and wiping it on your face. They just happen to love the game enough to want to help people out when they can.

                    On to Nike.....

Tiger plays them for one reason....MONEY. If he says he doesnt then he is lying his honk hole off. Look at the numbers and the record books since he switched I rest my case about Tiger right there. I had a look at the Nike website, very few of the pros using their gear actually use their irons, most are just using the driver (which I like btw) or wearing the shoes and clothes and using the balls (which I also like).

Nike are opportunists with no background in the game. They threw a ton of money at some reputable club designers and Tiger to give them a bit of cred then had their stuff made on the cheap to sell at the not so cheap.

Dont get me wrong, I love their blades, I think they are the best looking clubs to come out for a long time, but to be fair blades are easy, just copy an old set of Titleist, Hogan, Slazenger or Mizuno and use CAD/CAM to make them technically perfect.

Grow up Ricky (I seem to say that an awful lot to you), I get pelters all the time for my admittedly sad devotion to Mizuno, they are expensive and not particularly revolutionary and they can suffer dreadfully from poor finishing sometimes, but they are my club and will be until the sticks get locked away in the attic. I never, however, get on someones back for telling me I should try brand X cos they think they are great and Mizuno are ****.

I didnt say Nike were ****, I said they were mostly flash and not much else. I also said I liked some of their stuff.

I take it you have no argument about Nike's affect on Tigers form?

I am not saying you should be on a stiff shaft next year, I am suggesting that you probably will be.

Looking at the facts and having spoken to DNA I gave my opinion, I am very well aware it might be wrong.

And dont apologise, you have the perfect right to your opinion Ricky. Just because people disagree with you thats no reason to acquiesce. Keep it up, part of getting to where you obviously want to be involves knowing your own mind.

This nothing but a difference of opinions. It hasn't gotten out of control, but if it does, it will be taken care of.
