      Re: 2005 Majors

      I can't predict per tournament.

However, if Phil keeps playing this way, he's good for one. If Ernie can get his act together, he can take one. Tiger is good for one if he can keep his driver under control (and remembers how to putt).

But I don't think any of the above will win the masters this year. I've got a feeling another non-top 5 player will take it this year.

I'll stick to my predictions I made back in January:

        Masters - Sergio Garcia
        US Open - Phil Mickelson
        British Open - Ernie Els
        PGA Championship - Adam Scott

Funny you mention that Steve,I have been heard that they are trying to move the scheduling around so that the Player Championship is in May. If this comes true, it would then be conisidered the 5th major and there would be a major every month from April to August.

                My predictions:

                Masters: Tiger
                B. Open: Tiger
U.S. Open: either Goosen or Els
PGA: Cink ( I know, its a longshot)

I think at the Masters it will be a tight race between tiger, phil and sergio, but tiger will take the lead late saturday, and win it.

Yes it is next week. They are talking about moving the tournament in future years. The TV contract is running out soon and at that time they will be able to shift tournaments around. THey are also talking about moving the tournaments at the beginning of the year (tourneys in the West Coast Swing) over to the East coast because of more favourable weather conditions. It will be interesting to see what actually comes of all the talk.

I have Tiger and Phil down for one each. I would like to see Els add to his taly but im not hopeful. Of course Monty is the emotional choice but thats really not likely I'm afraid.

Vijay will probably make top ten the three of them played in the States, so if he gets a few breaks he may get another.

                        My predictions:

                        Players Champ: Mike Wier
                        Masters: David Toms
                        Open Champ: Darren Clarke
                        US Open: Phil
                        PGA: Justin Leonard

I know it is unlikely but I like to see it happen.
