I am undergoing a swing change and from time to time, my ball striking is pretty good. Then one day, it is like I have never played the game in my life. So, I set up like always, and swing and...%!*$##%@!!! I can't understand why it slipped away so fast. Well, for me when this happens I destroy my lawn until I figure it out and it almost ALWAYS leads to a sketchy lower body. Bad weight shift, swaying hips, etc. I start out with my feet close together and swing and VOILA! Straight ball with a low trajectory and back spin ( I am using whiffle practice balls here).
If you are a new player or a stubborn vet, and things go South in a hurry, check your lower body (foundation) first, then work up to arms, turn, etc. By the way, I'm re-seeding in the morning.
