  • THANKS a million $$$$$$$$

I would just like to thank everyone who has given me advice. Even though I have been playing the game for a while I never really thought about how much knowledge it takes to hit a little ball with a stick. My line of thought is, you can think about the shot all day but you still have to hit the ball. So I just walk up and hit the ball. No routine or I guess that is my routine.

But anyways... It's amazing to see the knowledge on this forum...
    Thanks good job...

And out of curiosity.... who's got pro status?
IAN, GregJwillis, Lowpost, Gord962, Bonzi, pnearn, sinuetblue ... a few others but can't remember the names, most of you have given me or others good advice ...

I haven't taken the game too seriously until this year and as it seems although I have played a while there is tons to learn, hopefully I will make up for some it here ...

THANKS AGAIN for the advice and kudos.....

Good to hear things are progressing positively!!!

No pro status for me, just a hacker trying to lower my handicap. I am a sports geek and have a regardless the sport I am usually able to teach better tha play. My strong sports are golf, hockey, basketball, baseball and volleyball (in order of ability, which I have coached in all at some level.) I haven't played any other sports competatively, so I haven't studied the rules and techniques.

Glad I am able to help out. There are a lot of knowledgable people on this site who are not pros, so I am glad people take the advice while knowing most are just regular joes. I know it helps me explain the problem in the fact that I probably was suffering from the same ailment at one time that most visitors on this site are now going through.

I'm with Gord - not a pro, just an athlete who's current love affair is golf. My other love is basketball (hence my moniker), and I've really endeavoured to educate myself about golf and the swing. I fight a slice off the tee (still), and am always looking to set up a 'final' swing.

I realize our swings are always changing, but I've gone from really bent over to looking like a golfer (and my ball flight has gone from fades and slices to straight and draws).

If I've said anything that helped, you're more than welcome!
