Re: Im stuck, Which Golf Club???

Hi Guy, I've been to your beautiful "Wales" several times. Love it! As far as your desire to play another club I think you should but only after you tell your current pro why you want to play the other club and also that you intend to return to his because you enjoy his golf club and you appreciate the time that he has invested in you. Like they say in business: "never burn the bridges behind you", be up-front, sincere, respectful; yet do what is best for you. Your pro will understand and even respect you more for it. Good luck!

A PGA professional promotes the game of golf not demotes the game or its players.

        Hi Ricky,

I seem to remember this from last year, you had a problem with this pro before........

        Ricky,
This is about your Golf game and nothing else, do what is best for you and what will make you happy.....join the other club and let your clubs do the talking.

As for this pro who hates juniors....write a letter to the PGA at the Belfry, and ask there advice...if nothing else at least they will be aware there is a black sheep amoung them.

P.s keep practicing and offer the pro a matchplay and kick his a**.

        Ian.

It sounds like frattoriv and Ian have the right idea - don't burn bridges, but you've gotta do what's best for your golf game.

If you can, be a member at both clubs. Practice hard and compete with the 7 mile club, but when you just need to sneak in a quick round, or want to work on some course management stuff without having to really compete, go to the 1 mile course.

God choice ricky, i would have gone too. If it were up to improving or location i think all of us would have made the decision you did.

If you seriously want to work on your game, do it. This isn't about "the club" or the "pro", its about you and what you think you need to improve. That means choosing the facility where you can have the most productive practice time, the course that provides you more shots and challenges, and most importantly a group of people to play with and grow your game with. Golf is about making lasting friendships just as much about becoming a better player. The club pro had his turn and made a life for himself at your current club. At 14 its your turn to develop so don't worry about it. In fact your move might get your current club to re-think its position regarding juniors. Go for it.
