  • Congrats Tiger

What a performance took the lead early and keeped it the whole way through the Bristish Open. He still isn't playing at his best but he has been head and shoulders above the rest of the field. 5 storkes win, 14 under par.

absolutely ......and all those critics out there who have no idea what playing under championship pressure is all about but still never hesitate to judge his ability would be well advised to leave golf to the pros and get a LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

        Re: Congrats Tiger

Tiger did not necessarily even need his distance off the tee. In fact, it hurt him on saturday. My coach and i played later that day and wondered why everyone just didnt hit punch 3is and let them roll for miles.

I was surprised he didnt win it by more to be honest. He was serene the first day and I thought he was heading for 264. I was really pleased to see monty do no worse than par all 4 days. I was a little disappointed that he and olly couldnt keep the pressure up right to the end but they were never going to catch him.

                  Re: Congrats Tiger

It was the inevitable result after the first day but the leaderboard coming into the final round looked so tasty that I honestly expected a bit more of a fight. The back nine really petered out and in the end the last few holes were very subdued (I have to confess I was disappointed to see Tiger hit an iron on the last, I mean he was never going to do a Van de Weld).

Apart from Sergio (who still hasn't quite made the breakthrough after a wonderful arrival on the tour) all the guys following Tiger were in their mid to late 30s or 40s. It made me wonder where the young guys are that are going to take Tiger on rather than settle for second best. Adam Scott seems to fluctuate between brilliant (did you see left handed, reverse club escape from a bunker followed by a chip in for birdie?) and pretty ordinary and Poulter is remembered more for his trousers than his golf.

                    Re: Congrats Tiger

A sign of a true champion is his ability to hold on to a lead during the closing stages and tiger has done that time and time again. Many ppl saythat they would prefer the swing of adam scott or els as compared to tiger's . Maybe......but where tiger is heads and shoulders above the restis his mental strength, thirst for victory and most of all HEART!!!!!! You need to have a lotta heart to never lose your lead (barring dimarco at the masters)
