    Re: Golf Yardage Website

Sorry I can't remember. Can I ask what the reason you are so worried about distance Rick? Accuracy is much more important. The distance you hit the ball is the distance you hit the ball. With Graham as your instructor, I'm quite sure your swing is highly tuned. As you get older and stronger, your distance will increase. As your swing evolves, your distance may also increase. Don't force these things to happen. You are obviously putting up good numbers based on your wins over the past two years, so why do you want to change what seems to be working so well for you???

You need to find your yardage for each club on the course - no yardage calculator is going to help you determine how far each club will go. Play a practice round on your course hitting shots from different yardage marker (on the course or in the book) to determine how far you are really hitting each club.

You definitely need to know the distance to the green - how else would you select a club? Do you not have distance markers at the 100/150/200 yard distance or is there distances on the sprinkler heads? Remember, yardages given are to the center of the green - not to the front or to the back of the green.

Those sould like good distances to me. I bet you are deadly accurate with them as well...

Sounds like you are definately on your way to good golf. Remember to do your homework on the greens as well, noting where the breaks are and where the safe landing areas are.
