  • PC Scorecard monitoring.

I have never considered myself as a statistician but whilst surfing the web a few days ago, I discovered several sites for recording your scorecards. I was impressed particularly with one of the sites and downloaded the software for £19.95. The software enables you to input your scores and other stats for yourself and scores for your playing partners. Thus, allowing you to adjust your handicap regularly and fairly according to USGA or CONGU rules. It also gives you all the useful stats that you could wish too know, including player on player analysis to see how you are faring against your golf partners. The link is below:

    http://www.golfscorerecorder.com/

It allows you to input all your course details for as many as you like, including all relevant details. You can then print off a scorecard which has simple little tick boxes that you can complete as you go round the course, e.g. Fairways in reg, GIR, chips, putts, etc..
What surprised me the most, is you know when you get off the course, you say something like "all I've done today is hit out of bunkers, or my chips have been cr?p, or I've 3 putted all day". Well, actually your probably well over exaggerating. I now see immediately what I have done right and wrong, and where my strengths and weaknesses are.

I was so impressed with the software, I thought I would shout it aloud!
Also, unlike some subscriber websites, this is a permanent programme for a one off charge.

    Cheers.
    Lee.

P.S. No I'm not on commision.

Well there's a free site that does that, www.mygolfrecord.com

I use it, it's wicked and does the same job of giving you stats actually for specific golf courses you play!

    (p.s. you won't mind then if you're not on commision/ advertising )

I just clicked on your link to see how it compares to my programme. It's excellent for a freebie, but I find the programme I suggested, more user friendly. It was only a brief look, so correct me if i'm wrong, but it would appear that mygolfrecord.com works from the basis that you use USGA handicap rules, etc. Where as, the programme I use allows for both USGA & CONGU.

      Cheers.
