  • Gentleman's Game ?

We had the first leg of the 'B' (scoring average of 80 - 86) flight county championship on the weekend. I was a little nervous and could not feel the putter and went bogey-bogey-bogey with 3 putts on all of them. In the past I would have got upset and given up to end with a 90 or so...but for a change I tried to stay in the game, trusted my swing and ended with a 40 on the front. Thanks to tips from Bob Rotella's book.

Same thing in the back, started Bogey-bogey--bogey...held on, trusted my swing and finished the side with a 38! Posting my best ever....78. But the irony of it all is someone posted a 67!!!! I believe he was a 'A' flight player but snuck in. Since they do not check H'cap he played with us and has a 11 stroke lead going into the final round !!! Gentleman's Game!!

If that guy feels good about the win, he has some serious problems....

Something that drasticly off in score, you can bet you are not the only one noticing...just sit back and see what happens. The committee will have a littel issue to deal with. If they are of any salt, they will address it. If not, then still say nothing, but just be aware of these tournaments in the future.

I read recently where some dude at the World Amateur Handicap Championship got tossed after shooting 58-58. Any one else see that?

It is a county organized event...cannot expect too much.

              Gentleman's Game ? (update)

              Well,

The sandbagger won it. Short a 80 and still walked away. No questions asked. Only solace is that he will not be allowed to comete in B flight since he won!

              I followed a 78 with a 79 and ended up 4th place!
