  • My names Darren and I'm a Golfaholic

Well that’s the first step on my road to recovery.
The problem is I think I’m developing an unhealthy obsession with the game of golf to the extent that it's beginning to affect the rest of my life. I think about golf 24/7. I think about nothing but golf at work and it's beginning to show, I can't sleep at night because I'm scrutinizing different areas of my game. I’m tired and I think I’m boring people with my constant golfing chit chat. What can I do?? Is it a curable??

OMG, you guys do that too. I keep analyzing stuff in my mind. I played last weekend on Sunday. My 3 iron tee off is my dependable shot and I messed it up twice. All I could think about in the last two days was what did I do wrong. I have couple of thoughts now and will go to the driving range to figure it out.

This is really bad, but this game is so amazing. There is always room for improvement.

For us guys who live in Ohio, the cure is called winter. With snow on the ground up to your ankles in January and February, it gives you game a chance to cool off and you get to start all over in March, hooking and slicing, fat, thin just like always.....haha

OH NO!!! I live in New Jersey. I've just started golfing again after a 20 year layoff and I've never had to experience the winter golf doldrums! I pray for a warm winter!

Ever since my return the game I've had trouble sleeping. When I do sleep I've had some fairly vivid golf dreams. Mostly good!

I have the same problem but worse, I also play tenpin bowling. I am scratch bowler and if I'm not golfing I'm bowling. try going to sleep thinking of two sports. It is really enoying when I pickup customers and don't have enough time to talk about both sports. (I'm a taxi driver).

In live in the UK and I'm hoping for a fairly mild winter. Although I have already had a round of golf last weekend where I played mostly with an inch think slab of ice as the sole of my shoe.
