Re: Most dreaded shot to play?

Greenside bunker with a high lip and a steep downslope...in front of a group waiting to let you play through. For some reason the 4 some in front of my golfing buddy and I waited to let us play through on the par 4 10th (double 9...we caught them on 8 but never had to wait on them to take our shots) after my buddy sliced into the fairway of 11 on his tee shot. We hurridly played his second shot so as not to confuse our balls and they just set back.

I split the fairway about 220 on my drive and had about 170 left so I just tapped it with my trusy 5 wood which went pin high but right into a greenside bunker. First shot hit the lip, second shot came out but the incline of the fringe to the green was a good 8 feet and steep so she rolled back down into the bunker about 8 inches from the foot hight lip...I gave her another wack out of disgust mainly and the one of the guys yelled go in the hole, it didnt...so i'm sitting at 5 with my ball resting on a stray blade of uncut grass jut asking for the wind to blow it back...quick lil bump and run and two put for an 8. I ask them if they're sure they want us to play through...one says "ah man, we suck too"...needless to say, I've been practicing my bunker shots.

      A "short" putt for birdie.

The most difficult shot, bare none.

How's about this - downhill lie with the ball well below your feet. F*CK ME!!! That's fat-city, baby. I've had a couple of these in recent weeks.

How's this one. The other day I had a slight down hill lie in a bunker shooting at a pin with 2 meters of green in front and behind, all sloping away into another bunker. both sides of the bunker I was in were flanked by other bunkers, so going out sideways was horrid too. One green I wish i'd hit.

          Walked away with a 10
