I was playin golf today with my mate he hit his ball to a par three over a pond, and as we were walking down to the green a big black crow flew off with his ball , i couldnt beleive what i saw ,three holes later this happend again only this time it was my ball he flew off with . has anybody else ever experienced this or simalar. please let me know

Happened a few times to me. What a crow wants with a golf ball I don't know.
Hit it to gimmee distance on a tough par 3 one day and a crow picked it up but dropped it in a bunker. Made bogey but at least I got the ball back.
Maybe you should drop a club out of your bag in favour of a shotgun... -

This has been done to me many times and usually when I hit a good drive down the middle of the fairway. Since the ball is so far away, there is no hope of trying to chase down the crow to at least make it drop the ball and get the it back.....
Really annoying but at least the rule says you can get to place the ball where it stopped originally (as best as you can). Ofcourse,you cant just say that the ball was picked up by some animal without seeing the actual crime.Comment

2 Replace your divots
3 Play it as it lies

I am still to find a crow that I can blame for moving my ball.
I can't stand the other golfers who move your ball. I hate it even more when they purposly run over the ball in their carts. their is also one hole I hate teeing off because you hit over a hill down into a gulley and the ball rolls you can get good 300 yards, and golfers who are coming back up the fairway quite often slice back into yours then either hit your ball or steal it.Comment

my ball never got stolen by a crow b4 but was stolen by a group of monkeys!
the buggers took my brand new callaway V1 ball and climbed up the tree....sob....all that after a perfectly placed drive...

I usually only play in comps, but during the odd friendly I personally always play to the letter of the law (well, at least with my first ball
)
I may hit more than one ball if I am just out for practice, but I still follow the rule for that ball, makes the game more consistant for meComment
