I was looking to buy some golf balls on ebay and I've come across a lot of 'refinished golf balls'. They seem relatively inexpensive and look brand new. Now I understand that they are re-painted or re-varnished etc, but does this really affect the performance that much?) Has anyone ever used these balls and are they worth looking into? [Decent} golf balls in Ireland are very expensive and I'm tempted to give the refinished type a try. Any info or advice would be appreciated. 
) lost it in the water hazzard. I am not sure about the refinishing process, but I assume that the performance is not as good as off the shelf.
