A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

I'm going to assume you're using a graphite shaft in your driver. If it's steel, then wildwilly's advice is more than adequate.
The thing about pulling graphite is that it has to be pulled straight out. Otherwise, you run the risk of breaking the fibres, and destroying the shaft.
Wood shafts have a very small parallel tip section, and if you destroy the tip, you may have to cut so much off that you can't use the shaft again.
So either make sure you buy a shaft puller, or get it pulled professionally if it's graphite.
