  • reusing shafts

    hi, the driver im currently using now is fitted with a stiff shaft and im planning to change it to a regular shaft one..my question here is if its possible to reuse my old stiff shaft once i increase my swing speed, or do i have to dispose it? thank you.

    use as little heat as posible to get it pulled and you can reuse it.

      So far I had been changing shaft for my irons quite often ... at time I am reusing my old shaft... so far no problem for me

        I'm going to assume you're using a graphite shaft in your driver. If it's steel, then wildwilly's advice is more than adequate.

        The thing about pulling graphite is that it has to be pulled straight out. Otherwise, you run the risk of breaking the fibres, and destroying the shaft.

        Wood shafts have a very small parallel tip section, and if you destroy the tip, you may have to cut so much off that you can't use the shaft again.

        So either make sure you buy a shaft puller, or get it pulled professionally if it's graphite.
