after starting golf not much more than 15 months agoi realy got the bug and always wanted to get some good scores in. Im from the uk and was playing a course on the cost of cornwall right near lands end. one of the holes is a medium par 4 which the tee shot is way higher than the fairway,, then you walk down to an uphill fairway that then reaches a peak and drops down to a green. the fairway has a steep drop to thick brambles etc to the right and the left side was guarded by a tall stone wall. I decided to play safe and hit a 3 iron, which i absolutely creamed but my aiming was rubbish and the ball carried untill landing on top of the wall and bounching way up into the air. that was that lost i thought, so i teed up another and hit that ok-ish on the fair way. on reaching the green a lady on the tee to the left of the green said were you hitting a pts solo number 3 with ash on it. i sed yep and she sed its on the tee. I couldnt believe it really, i had hit a 3 iron onto a wall and had bounced to a resting place that was a bit more than 300 yards from the tee. obviously as of the bounce and the downhill fairway one the hole it was on. so i got out my wedge and had a blind shot over this wall. i hit a nice clean shot to where my friend from the b&b had told me was the best place to aim. I couldnt actually see at this point but i was told it didnt go there but instead pitched nicely on the green, span a bit before looking as if it was gonna stop on the edge of the cup and then dropping in. He looked at me in disbelief, that i could have that much luck on a hole when i was off 28 and never played the course n my life and he was off 7. that was my first eagle any way, thanks for reading, sorry about the legnth.
