  • Where to begin

Let me start by saying I am a new member here and have played (attempted to) for 16 years off and on. I am now serious about playing again (sold the boat) and need help on getting fitted for clubs. I started out by going to the driving range and the way I was hitting the ball I was told I needed a -4 deg flat with 1" added. I am 6'3". Apparently since I have been playing with standard clubs all my life I have totally screwed up my swing. I have now gotten my swing better to where I need a -2 deg flat. Heres the problem. The pro at the shop says there is still something wrong with my swing that I need a -2 deg. When I go to Golfsmith and do the custom fitting is says I need a +2 deg with 1/2" extended length. I really want to get the Callaway Big Berthas but am hesitant to buy the -2 deg and they dont work out for me. Can someone help me out on what I should do. Get some lessons? Thanks.
