Sup guys, since noone has really done this yet, I wanna make this thread a place where one can go to ask questions about their swing or whatever which dont really deserve their own thread. I'll start her off, I have a couple minor questions...
Does a fade produce more spin than a draw? Because Im becoming waayyy more accustomed to hitting a nice fade at the range with my irons and it seems like they would have much more spin on them than a draw due to the fact that your hitting down on it more (coming over the top)...Is this true?
Does a fade require less shoulder turn? As read above, I am hitting a fade now, and I find that I am not turning my shoulders as much because I am coming steeper onto the ball....
I keep popping up my drives from time to time, along with chunking my irons, what should I do to stop hitting the ground or under the ball (when teed up)?
Some random comments....feel free to add whats on your mind in terms of your golf game and what youve observed while golfing..
- So I live in Toronto Canada...its cold, what more should I say? Anyways, we have an outdoor range thats open through the winter so Ive been going like 3 times a week. The balls are quite hard and most of them are old. I was driving the golf ball today and I was flyin it at least 230-240 with these **** balls althogh it was into a helping wind. They have a nice trajectory going up, but all the sudden at their apex, they just quickly drop down like theyve turned into a bowling ball. I then decided to grab a brand new pinnacle ball from my bag, it wasnt cold and it was a decent one. I hit it, and wow, real balls can probably go at least 20-30 yards farther, this thing flew 250 and would have had some roll...thing was, I didnt even hit it right, but I took observation on the descent of the ball from its optimal height, and it didnt fall as fast as the other balls, it stayed in the air much longer.
-Boy I hate winter in Canada
-I cant stand the yardages at driving ranges, every range has different yardages it seems (ex. sign says 50 yards, but really its like 75)
Hope you guys contribute, I think this is a cool thread to start up, no major questions, just minor ones that can be answered without much conflict
