  • Playing near Torrevieja, Spain

Has anyone experience playing near Torrevieja? Searching I wound courses like "Altorreal", Las Ramblas", "Campo Amur", "La Marquesa". Those were the affordable ones with green fee from 40 - 50 euros.

Does anyone know if those are good to play in March? Or ever? (I did find some not so good new about Las Ramblas and some comments about Campo Amur.)

Looking forward for two weeks of golf in Spain:-)

Hope I'm not too late to respond to this. Only just joined the site.

I went to that area of Spain in 2004 and played some decent courses. Las Ramblas is great. The first tee shot lets you know what you're in for! You're 100 feet above the fairway, and you can't see it! You can see the green over 300 yards away though! Some excellent holes. Well worth a visit. THere's a par 5 which is around the 4th/5th hole that you have to carry over 2 gorges to reach the green.

Another good one to try is Mosa Trajectum. It's on the main road between Murcia and San Javier. You can't miss it. It's got huge posters of Johan Cruyff along its' borders.

It's a brand new development (holiday villas etc) but is in excellent condition. ROlling smooth greens and some super holes. It's all in a "themed" style as well with rocks and desert surrounding most of the holes. Very enjoyable to play. See if you can beat a 76!

Don't bother with Villa Martin. It's pretty pants.

    Happy golfing.

      Thanks, not late at all.
I will do there 15th fo March and stay two weeks.

Did you get the green fee tickets before going to Spain? There are dealers who sell Green Fees for different places. Like Mosa Trajectum is 80€ from the clubhouse, but 65 € from internet? (If I "googled" it correctly.)

I'll book Las Ramblas on my program ... and lose some balls:-)
