I recently bought a set of woods with the Taylor Made R7 series, driver, 3 and 5. I got the staff in graphite with a regular flex. My irons are Calloways with stiff fles steel shafts. The driver I had before was some cheap kock-off with a flemsy shaft so I never hit it. I now have a big fading/slice. It's not really a sharp slice. The ball will travel straight for a while then slowly fade to the right. I treid messing with the weights in the back of the club head but the didn't really help. If I slow my swing down, I can hit it pretty straight, but of course not as far. Could this be due to shaft flex. I believe my swing speed is about 88-90 mph. I have been looking at a "mid-stiff" shaft, does anyone think this can help? I can hit the 3- and 5-wood pretty straight, but of course I don't swing those as hard. anyone have any idea on what can cause this fading-slice thing I am having problems with? Someone had said it's my swing coming from outside to in during the arc and hitting the ball incorrectly. I have tried to correct this, but it only happens when I really try to hit the ball hard. Any thoughts will help.
