  • Golf clubs tested

I got my clubs tested for my suitabillity yesterday. I found out they were to short for me and i need to go to a stiff flex. My clubs are 3/4 of an inch short than the standard mens length. the grips were also to thin.

My wife will hate me when she finds out i am going to spend more money on clubs. I may have to leaqve it for a couple of months.

Tell her it's justified as you'll be a happier man overall with properly fitted clubs, and likewise lower scores.

It's probably a lot easier if you just don't tell her.

As long as you're not getting divorced over it...

@ merarmou: Honesty is the best policy. Don't give her a reason to go looking for the extra clubs you're hiding

You could get this done cheaply if you tip your current shafts and put extensions in. You can also easliy reshaft your clubs - all of which would be considerably cheaper than buying new ones - UNLESS you are able to use this as an excuse to get new clubs. Then it is definitely worth the wait if the wife can be even a little bit understanding. You can probably recover 1/4 - 1/3 of the price if you sell your old clubs.

I can't hide my new equipment from my wife because she is home before me and it all comes via courier. I get into more trouble than actually necessary as many of the shipments are for customers, not even for me!!
