    Best round ever

    I play off 22 and today played my par 72 with a friend for a bit of a competition.
    The highlights of today included:
    • A green side bunker shot went in. Ball was buried and the ball went up two tiers of green and rolled in!
    • A par on the hardest hole on the course stroke index 1. par 4 422 yards
    • An approach shot that landed 5 feet from the hole
    • and to top it off a 260 yard drive down the 18
    • Final round of 87!!!
    Now thats what i call golf

    However this is a downside to this and that is that we all have one fantastic round and usualy this is followed by another quite frankly dismal round is it not? I am now slightly scared to walk onto a golf course again. should i be? I hope it was not fluke as i would love to play like it again!

    this is not a fluke, this is your true potential - go with it. get negative thoughts out of your head.

      Good job, proshank!

      But yes, in order to restore balance to the universe, you must now shoot in the hundreds.

      Time to quit golf and take up chess.

        nice round stick with it mate you have proved that you have it in you to play those shots!
        i played my first ever comp 2 weeks ago and had a blinder drove,pitched,chipped and putted great my best round ever no doubt.
        so i play yesterday thinking ive got it now, how wrong i was apart from the par3's and and a few flashes of brilliance the round was abysmal topped tee shots,pulls,hooks and slices you name it i did it.
        at least i know my next round cant be as bad
