Can someone please explain to me what is meant by the phrase "Chicken Wing"

Im not an expert but i think this is when on the back swing your right arm sticks out horizontal pushing the club to become verticle and off plane. -

i too am no expert proshank..but i think on the backswing they call it a flying right elbow..and on the position after impact they call the out of position left elbow a chicken wing.Comment

It is an expression used when you haven't released AFTER impact , usually a fault of slicers because their club face is still open and facing up to the sky and their left elbow is bent and pointing upwards, as opposed to the toe of the club pointing upwards on a normal release.
on the backswing when linkage is lost between elbow and torso is called a FLYING RIGHT ELBOW...Comment

Thanks guys. I originally thought it might be when your right elbow points outwards at the top of your backswing but I now understand I had it wrong.Comment
