Scotland stand about as much chance at even qualifying for the world cup finals, as COLIN MONTGOMORY stands a chance of winning a major.....

England definatly pull one out of the bag today! Brilliant match after the first 60 mins, those T&T boys nearly had a nice little consolation goal!

Come on now guys keep it friendly.

By the way England are through with a match to spare, no matter how poor their performance may appear, however it is very difficult to play against a team that are sitting behind the ball, marking two against one for 90 mins of a game.

Good luck to T&T they showed some real grit for the hole match, and Chris Birchall is a local lad for me so I hope he gets a contract with a better team than Port Vale.

                  Ian.

We just need to get the papers of our backs.

Was poor wasnt it mate. I just cant see how he can keep playing Lampard and Gerrard together. Its stifling both of their natural game. Id also like to see Lennon start as he gives us width and stretches defenders. Personally Id drop Lampard for Sweden and play Carrick. Give Stevie G room to get forward and play his natural game. I'd also give Lennon a go on the left

I also think Mickey Owen will be lucky to play again in the tourny. He's not a shadow of the player he used to be although the way the team are playing doesnt help him

All depends on how much guts Sven has got because what his supposed starting XI aint working and we'll get turned over the minute we play against a better team with the tactics/formation he's got now because we're long ball merchants (which as a Port Vale fan you should be familar with )

                      Re: Come On England

                      Hi Paul,

I have to agree it wasn't pleasing on the eye, but it is very difficult to play against 10 men back, especially for Owen.

Lets not forget Max points, two wins and no-one as scored against us, so it's not all bad.

I think we will see a totally different England once we play a more attacking team and we start hitting on the break etc.

                      All good fun

                      Ian.

Lets face it will it really affect anyones life at GTO if we loose, I have to think this way with Vale.........!!

lol i know that scotland suck at football but what annoys me is that every world cup and european championships england go on and on and on... about how they think they are going to win but they never do. and also will they ever stop talking about 66? 40 years ago and we still havent heard the end of it.
