Re: What score do i post?
I don't know if you are talking about a computerized handicap system or not. The handicap systems that I am familiar with require that you always post the gross score. You may have to enter to course par and the slope so that it will calculate correctly. All of the courses here in the Chicago area are already loaded into the software, so you pick your course, pick the tees you played from, enter your gross score and the system calculates your handicap for you.

Re: What score do i post?
I play in Canada and would enter the gross score less any strokes over the equitable allowance. For example, if you are a 15 handicap, you are only allowed to post a maximum of two over par. So if you had a round that included three triple bogies, you would subtract 3 strokes from your gross score and post this total.

when playing by yourself , why not use the oppertunity to your advantage ( treat all games played by yourself as a practice game) for instance, play two balls off the tee on every hole and play the best ball. And the next time ,play two balls off the tee and then play the worst ball. this is a excellent way to use stress free practice rounds and will also build your confidence.

Re: What score do i post?
Three Types Of Handicap Players
1. Baggers They Lie And Pad Thier Scores To Win Money And Feel Good About Themselves.
2. Reverse Baggers They Think They Are Better Than They Really Are. They Use All Forms Of Rationalization To Post Unreasonable Golf Scores.
3. Handicap Players That Post All I Repeat All Thier Scores After Adjusting For Any High Hole Scores.
Good Luck
