For the last couple of years we have all talked about Tiger holding the 4 majors in one year, i know he has but in the same season, who reckons Phil has a chance? Myself i think he would but for THE Open being played on a links course. Your views if any gentlemen (and ladies) this caused a huge debate in the pub last nite.

I would say Tiger is an offical "Slam" member. If any player in history earned this right to a technicality, it is Tiger.

Phil's ability to get a Slam of any sort is remote...but he is the closest to it then anyone right now. Maybe a chancge as likely as Monty winning a major. But looking like Monty's position at the US Open so far (2nd round), is pretty good.

I am rootin' for Monty.
